Adhesive Removers

Hair system adhesive removers come in various types, each made with their own unique benefits that aid in removing hair system tapes and liquid adhesives from both scalp and system. Understanding these types can help you choose the best product for your situation:

• Oil-based removers: Made with an oil base, these are usually the fastest, and strongest, removers when it comes to breaking down tapes and adhesives. They do leave residue behind, which can be cleaned with soap and water.
• Alcohol-based removers: Made with an alcohol base, these removers evaporate quickly and leave no residue behind. Not as fast or as strong as oil-based removers, but alcohol-bases still quickly and easily break down adhesives.
• Water-based removers: Primarily for water-based adhesives only, water-based removers are the gentlest option for removal. They provide an easy clean, with little to no residue left behind. They do, however, are slower to break down compared to other bases.

Walker Tape® offers 7 different adhesive removers, with 6 of the removers having skin-safe gentleness, sensitive skin gentleness, and/or medical grade gentleness. Our Rapid Release remover is made only for conducting solvent soaks and solvent soaks only.
