Walker Tape®’s Base Tape is a multi-purpose system care product that is made to both mend and repair hair systems, while allowing for stronger adhesives to be used on more fragile unit bases. It's a single-sided, dull, semi-flexible adhesive that helps clients get a longer life out of their hair system.
Base Tape is meant for minor system repair and is not for use on skin. It is not designed to be the only adhesive used on a unit.

To Repair Damages
- Cut a small piece of Base Tape from the roll.
- Place the tape on the inside of the hair system over the damaged area. Make sure the system is clean and dry before applying.
- Complete the rest of the installation as normal.
To Prepare Delicate Systems for Stronger Adhesives
- Cut the necessary pieces from the roll for your installation.
- Place Base Tape along the inside of the system wherever you intend to apply a two-sided tape. Ensure the system is clean and dry before applying.
- Apply your stronger adhesive over the Base Tape. This allows stronger tapes, like Ultra Hold Tape, to be used on delicate lace-based units.
Keep the product away from heat, humidity, and light. Store in a well-ventilated, cool, dark, dry, room-temperature controlled environment (60-80°F). Seal bags completely. With proper storage, our tapes have a shelf life of up to one year.
Q. Does Base Tape affect the hold times of other adhesives?
A. No. Base Tape simply serves as a protective barrier between the system and a stronger adhesive without impacting hold times.
Q. Does Base Tape leave residue?
A. Base Tape is built to be low residue and leaves minimal residue upon removal.
